• BBVA has agreed to supply the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos, or FESBAL) with food parcels, for subsequent distribution among the most underprivileged groups of society
• BBVA is to donate roughly 3,000 parcels to FESBAL, each valued at €250 as part of its "+59" promotional campaign previously launched throughout the company's branch network

BBVA and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) have signed an agreement whereby the financial institution will provide 3,000 food parcels, which FESBAL will collect from BBVA branches and distribute among the most underprivileged groups of society. This new social welfare action stems from an initiative launched by the BBVA Volunteer Office.

The food parcels are stored in BBVA branches nationwide and will be distributed as part of the company's "+59" campaign geared towards the elderly.

FESBAL will collect the food for subsequent distribution among those most in need.

The BBVA Volunteer Office, the masterminds behind this project, is made up of BBVA España workers who have either reached retirement age or chosen to take early retirement. In the words of the BBVA Volunteer Office manager "bringing happiness and joy to those most in need is our overriding mission", a vocation that mirrors the activities of FESBAL.
