BBVA named best bank in Latin America by Euromoney magazine
BBVA has been recognized as the Best Bank in Latin America in the 2009 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, one of the most prestigious awards in the financial industry each year. The prize recognizes BBVA’s leadership in the region’s banking business and the good earnings it has generated in an environment complicated by the international economic crisis. Vicente de la Parra, Innovation and Development manager for BBVA South America, accepted the award on behalf of the lender. BBVA was also named best bank in Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela and Paraguay.
BBVA Compass Awarded 2009 Innovation in Banking Technology Award by The Banker
BBVA Compass announced today that The Banker magazine has awarded the company an Innovation in Banking Technology Award. The BBVA Compass Virtual Banker(SM) project was presented the award for "Innovation in Delivery Channel Technology."

Three of BBVA Chile�s mutual funds receive a distinction for their excellent performance
The mutual funds BBVA Chile Garantizado Top Markets 10, BBVA Garantizado Chile 100 and Liquidez Dólar all received the Salmón award, given annually by Asociación de Administradoras de Fondos Mutuos de Chile and Diario Financiero for the most profitable funds of the year.
BBVA receives the award for the best web 2.0 project granted by the magazine Computing España
This award is in recognition of initiatives within the framework of the Group�s Innovation and Transformation Plan.
BBVA Chile receives the National Award for Quality.
ChileCalidad has given its National Quality Award to BBVA Chile, in recognition of the high standard attained by the institution in areas such as leadership, strategic planning systems and process management.
Spanish Professional Soccer League award granted to BBVA
Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), within the framework of the II International Festival of Soccer's Publicity and Communication, has granted BBVA with two awards for the commercials "Negotiation" and "Play with the bank".
