Data protection policy:BBVA guarantees the protection of its stakeholder's data. The seal of the Spanish Electronic Commerce Association (known as AECE) confirms that BBVA was the first financial institution to adopt its code of ethics for Internet data. BBVA's pressroom web site for Spain does not automatically collect any data on the identity of people viewing its pages.

All data is treated with total confidentiality and is used for the purpose for which it was requested in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (LOPD) and other related legislation.

Treatment of personal data

In accordance with Section 5 of the LOPD 15/99, anyone who registers for the BBVA bulletin is informed and thus aware that their personal data and those which they might provide in future, are kept in a computer file for the purpose of sending them news about BBVA in the form of electronic messages.
